About me

Hey, I'm Nick

I'm a Gold Coast based photographer with a love for all things lifestyle, sport and documentary image making. I  spend my free time surfing, trying (and mostly failing) to be a calisthenics athlete and hanging out with friends & family, most of all my wife Hanna, son Finn and our dogs Willow and Aspen.

I’ve never wanted to be labelled as “that guy with the camera” or even just "photographer" and to that end I’ve taken a bit of a meandering path to get here. I hold a degree in electrical engineering, have worked as a management consultant at Deloitte for almost 5 years, and for a significant part of my life being a competitive swimmer was my serious career plan. Unfortunately my shoulder didn’t agree and 9-5 has never been the lens through which I want to see the world.

Thankfully, photography has been an ever-present force in my life and as I head towards nine years in the industry, there is no doubt in my mind that I’m not me without a camera in my hands.
